SHEAR STRENGTHENING AND SEISMIC PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT OF STRUCTURES USING GAC WIRE ROPE

A shear and earthquake proof reinforcing structure using shear reinforcing wire ropes is provided to adjust cut length of the shear reinforcing wire ropes simply and install shear reinforcing bars easily by a joint device and a spacer. A shear and earthquake proof reinforcing structure comprises shear reinforcing wire ropes(100), wire rope coupling devices(200), and a spacer. The shear reinforcing wire ropes are placed to cover main reinforcing bars(300) including upper and lower reinforcing bars. The wire rope coupling devices include eye bolts(210,220) mounted to two ends of the shear reinforcing wire ropes, and a jointing device(230) including a turn buckle. The spacer is installed between the main reinforcing bars to maintain the distance between the main reinforcing bars, and mounted with the turn buckle to adjust the extended length.
