A VoiceXML Dialogue apparatus based on Speech Act for Controlling Dialogue Flow and method of the same

A speech act-based VXML dialog device for controlling a dialog flow and a method thereof are provided to easily modify and change the dialog flow through the VXML converted from DDML described based on speech act, and enable a developer to flexibly manage the dialog flow by independently forming dialog management and dialog flow management. A dialog manager(110) processes the dialog management according to dialog contents for utterance inputted from a speaker. A VXML module(120) controls the dialog flow of the diagnosis manager based on the speech act extracted from the dialog contents through the DDML. The dialog manager includes a speech recognizer(112) recognizing a speech of the speaker and transferring a recognition result to the diagnosis manager, a dialog managing device(114) generating a composed sentence based on the speech act extracted by analyzing the recognition result and a VXML document loaded from a web server through the VXML module, and a speech composer(116) responding to the speaker by composing the composed sentence generated in the dialog managing device.
