AUTO CONTROL INTERFACE DEVICE FOR PILOT OF SHIP

An interface device for automatically controlling the steerage of a ship is provided to utilize a manual navigation system as an automatic navigation system. A GPS floater(30) searches for at least one of a present position coordinate and a destination coordinate of a ship and transmits the searched coordinate to an auto steering device. An electronic compass(40) finds the forwarding direction of the head of the ship and transmits information about the forwarding direction to the auto steering device. The auto steering device(20) processes information received from the GPS floater to calculate a water jet spray angle or a key adjustment angle. A control box(10) converts information about the water jet spray angle or the key adjustment angle such that the auto steering device recognizes the information, and thus provides the information to an auto navigation system or a manual navigation system.
