SYSTEM FOR COLLECTING A TRAFFIC SERVICE FEE ON MISTAKEN BOARDING USING PRE-PAYMENT CARD AND METHOD THEREFOR

A system and a method for collecting a traffic fare of a user getting on a wrong subway line with a prepaid card are provided to prevent wrong collection owing to wrong entry by charging no fare at the last entry gate if the user repeatedly passes the entry/exit gates in the same station for a predetermined time. A prepaid card(10) stores an entry/exit station code and time to a memory, and stores wrong entry information received from the entry/exit gate to a memory if the user repeatedly passes the entry/exit gates in the same station for the predetermined time. Each card terminal(110-150,210-260,310-350) transmits/stores the wrong entry information to the prepaid card if the user repeatedly passes the entry/exit gates in the same station for the predetermined time by comparing the entry/exit code or time received from the prepaid card with the current station code/time. The card terminal charges no fare to the user if the wrong entry information is stored in the prepaid card, and deletes the wrong entry information stored in the prepaid card when the user exits the last exit gate.
