FIELD: water treatment processes.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to complex treatment of water involving oxidation by means of ozonation and with copper and zinc ions. It can be used to disinfect drinking water of residential sites and also to disinfect reuse water of swimming pools, fountains, and so like. Process according to invention consists in that initial water is placed into reactor and then aqueous solution containing copper and zinc salts at Cu2+/Zn2+ weight ratio 1:(1-50) is added to water through dispersing means uniformly arranged within interior of reactor to achieve summary concentration of Cu2+ and Zn2+ equal to 0.5-1.5 mg/L. Thereafter, water is kept for 0.1-0.4 h and then treated with ozone employing its concentration 0.5-1.0 mg/L. Advantageously, water is disinfected at 5 to 30°C and ozone and copper and zinc salts-containing aqueous solution are introduced through the same dispersing devices. As a result, invention provides effective and relatively environmentally safe process for disinfection of water with reasonably small (not coming out beyond accepted maximal allowable concentrations) amounts of reagents preventing, at their single addition, possibility of secondary bacterial contamination of water over a long (no lee than one month) period of time.;EFFECT: achieved efficient long-term disinfection of water and reduced water treatment time.;3 cl, 1 tbl, 5 ex
