FIELD: biotechnology, medicine, agriculture, research activities.;SUBSTANCE: the cells of Dioscorea deltoidea should be cultured upon agarized medium at the presence of 25-oxycholesterol. At first, cultivation should be performed at concentration of 0.04-0.06 mcM for 4-5 wk till obtaining the colonies at the size being 1 mm, not less, and then the cells should be transferred onto the medium at concentration of 25-oxycholestrol being 0.09-0.11 mcM to cultured for about 5-6 mo till obtaining yellow-colored callus at weight being 200 mg, not less.
