FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: it is necessary to calculate the coefficient for volumetric alteration of hepatic parenchyma(C) by a certain formula. One should determine the form of a segment and at C value being C=1.0-0.75 and the kept form of the segment it is possible to state upon standard-corresponding volume of the segment. At C=0.74-0.5 and the kept form of the segment one should determine the volume of the segment as standard variant. At C=0.49-0.33 and the kept form of the segment one should detect decreased volume of the segment that corresponds to degree I hypoplasia. At C=0.32-0.16 and form of the segment approximating to oval one it is possible to determine decreased volume of the segment that corresponds to degree II hypoplasia. At C=0.15-0.01, rounded form of the segment and no visualization of segmental branch of portal vein one should determine decreased volume of the segment that corresponds to degree III hypoplasia. At C=0 one should state upon aplasia of the segment.
