METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF PROLONGED URETHRAL STRICTURES

FIELD: medicine, urology.;SUBSTANCE: it is necessary to isolate urethra in stricture area for resecting the stricture and cicatricial tissues. On resecting it is important to intersect penile ligaments and partially mobilize cavernous bodies from the pubis. Then urethra should be separated from cavernous bodies to perform its tension and fix it towards cavernous bodies in tension. Then one should carry out urethral anastomosis upon Foley catheter. The residues of supporting ligament at lateral surfaces of cavernous bodies should be tightened up to perineal tissues. The innovation enables to reconstruct urethral passability in case of prolonged strictures with own tissues of urethra and avoid penile shortening and deformation.;EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy.;1 ex
