摘要
The utility model relates to the nuclear industry and can be used in research in the field of reactor material science, in particular, thermal testing of fuel elements (fuel elements) after operation in a nuclear reactor. The technical result of the utility model is to increase the sensitivity of measurements of the radiation characteristics of fission products emerging from fuel rods during depressurization during thermal tests, and, accordingly, the expansion of the possibility of such measurements on fuel rods with low fuel burnup. The installation for thermal testing of irradiated fuel elements of nuclear reactors contains a heater and a device for accommodating the fuel element, an inert gas source, a pipeline with control equipment, a rotameter installed in the protective chamber. After the heater, the pipeline contains two parallel-connected sections, on which outside the protective chamber there is a system for measuring the radiation characteristics of gas, moreover, in one section a measuring filter with a beta radiation detector and an ionization chamber is arranged in series, in the second section there is a measuring volume with a sorbent made in in the form of a stainless steel vessel, where powdered activated carbon is mainly used as a sorbent, and a gamma radiation detector. A protective cover is installed between the heater and the fuel element, and a device for cooling the gas is installed between the heater and the system for measuring the radiation characteristics of gas. 6 c.p. f-ly, 1 ill.
