Data stream selected according to selection method is transmitted to user's computer. Selection method is updated to better reflect preference of user when feedback is received expressing preference from user regarding transmitted data stream, as well as from other users group, commercial radio stations and lists of popular songs. Data streams transmitted to user are biased according to preference. Users may indicate their general/specific preference with regards to song, artist, or albums, using a large database (160). A play list is created that combines all preferences and any applicable statutory regulations, to suit everybody. An independent claim is made for a user interface for an Internet data stream transmission system.
