The barrier system, to guide the movement of large crowds of people, has protective shields set in carrier structures. The carrier structure has a square tube support (3) on the ground to take an insert (7) and a mounting (8) with openings for ground anchors. An upper support (4) on a round tube (6) is the mounting (4) at an angle with fasteners (10) for the shields, together with an adjustment unit (5) for the shield support surfaces (2). The metal components are welded together.
