The control organ has two force sensors (g, h) for determination of force applied by a driver on the control organ and two path sensors (a, b) for determination of a path decided by the driver. A control unit compares sensor values of the force and path sensors with one another among themselves on the plausibility. The control unit uses a default value as the sensor value, if a deviation of the sensor values of the force and path sensors exists. The control unit derives the default value from a predetermined value assignment between the sensor values of the force and pressure sensors.
