A filter device with a filter module (10) has a housing extending between the filter housing (12) and fluid-guiding elements (32, 34, 36) to accommodate the elements. The housing is constructed as a cage and comprises individual cage segments which are interconnectable as part of a connecting unit (40) and which when interconnected in the operating state hold together the individual flow elements of the filter module. An independent claim is included for a filter module, especially for use with the above filter device.
