The lubricant has nanoparticles added to it, whereby the lubricant becomes electrically conductive by the addition of these nanoparticles. The nanoparticles can be carbon or polymer compounds or alternatively molecular compounds without the element carbon. The nanoparticles can be nanotubes or fullerenes.
