The drive unit (1) has a first and second internal combustion (3,3') engine connected by a clutch mechanism (2) depending upon the power required. An internal combustion engine has a combustion chamber which is arranged around the driving shaft (4,4'). The internal combustion engine has a hypocycloidic crank drive.
