The device has a lubricant pump (10) for supplying lubricant to a load e.g. internal combustion engine, over a discharge line (12). A line section (16) of the discharge line is formed with perforations and arranged downstream of the lubricant pump. The perforations allow gas emanation from the discharge line but prevent discharge of the lubricant from the discharge line. A lubricant filter (14) is arranged in the line section, where the line section together with the lubricant filter is formed as an integrated unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for supplying a load with lubricant.
