Injector e.g. servo hydraulically operated has a control chamber, which is subjected to fluid pressure. Nozzle needle (20) or tappet of nozzle needle of injector is coupled fluid mechanically with a servo valve (30). For reproducibly controlling injection of smaller amount of fuel, a servo valve on control chamber side is connected upstream to a separate throttle plate (100). A separate throttle plate is provided at or in a valve bore (38) of the servo valve. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) Injection system; and (B) Internal combustion engine.
