The assembly (1) to extract loose material from tubes, i.e. cigarette tobacco from paper tubes for recovery from faulty cigarettes, has a rotating cylindrical drum (2) with equidistant mantle openings and a fixing unit (8) to insert a cigarette (7.1) in each opening. A second synchronized drum (3) has blower mouthpieces (9) linked to pressure gas channels (10), axially aligned with the first drum openings. As the drums rotate, gas is forced into the gas channels in sequence to blow out the loose tobacco from each fixed paper tube.
