The arrangement in a gas turbine power plant for fine balancing of the rotor has a first and second reclosable tool access opening (13,14) in the inner (5) and outer (8) casing respectively for temporary guiding of a cutting tool (17).mounted on a manipulating rod (22), for removal of material from a part of the rotor (3). The tool access openings align with the rotor section provided for material removal and lie in a region of the inner and outer casing with the greatest possible rotor diameter and pointing towards the plane of the floor.
