The bearing has inner and outer rings (4, 6) having running surfaces for a rolling unit e.g. ball (8), on their inner side and outer side, respectively. The rolling unit is arranged between the rings. The outer ring is eccentrically formed based on a rotation center (DZ) of a shaft and/or an axle that is accommodated in the inner ring. The outer ring includes different cross sections including maximum and minimum cross sections, where an operating force acting on the bearing is computed before installation and/or assembly of the bearing in a corresponding machine component.
