The fuel injection engine has a cylinder (10) with an intake valve (13). The intake valve has a suction tube (17) for sucking combustion air and, by an injector valve (19) injects fuel in a fuel injecting location into the tube. In the suction tube between the fuel injecting location and the intake valve a break through removable element (21) is provided. The element is adjustable being dependent on the fuel injected between a closed position which partly covers the tube cross section and an open position partly releasing the suction tube cross section.
