The device has a retaining unit (9) fixed in a roof duct, and a roof railing (3) fixed at the retaining unit, where the slot and tappet have smaller dimensions. The retaining unit has a projecting tappet, which penetrates into a slot of the roof railing. The slot is arranged in an insert fixed at a shell shaped upper part of the roof railing. The tappet is pressed or rested in the slot. The slot is longer than the tappet in the longitudinal direction of the roof railing.
