The method involves producing a complete body overview image (1) of an examination object and selecting an anatomical area (2) in the image. Points in the selected area are determined, where the points form source for a complete body coordinate system. Another overview image (5) and a partial images are produced with examination of the object. The image (5) and the partial images are used for temporally classification of examination images (6a-6c) in the system based on the comparison of image information of the examination images and image information of the image (5) and partial images. An independent claim is also included for a device for receiving and evaluating image data of an examination object.
