The method involves configuring a transmission network in the form of a two-dimensional passage filter mask. A simulation temperature of measuring objects is derived from the simulated reciprocal value of the transmission network and the temperature of the measuring objects arising from the primary function of the imaging pyrometers. The temperature is detected with the individual detectors (31-35) of an image detector. An independent claim is also included for an imaging pyrometer comprising an interference filter mask.
