The arrangement has a housing with two electrodes (2a, 2b) that are connected as a cathode and an anode and are arranged in a distance to each other. A gas flow (5) is directed between the electrodes for desorption of a formed particle by gas inlets (6, 7). One of the electrodes is sectioned into segments that are individually and electrically controllable. A laser beam is directed into one of the electrodes for igniting arc. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a particle.
