A lighting device has a number of main lighting zones which, at least in a first- and second-part lighting zone, are sub-divided, and on each part illumination zone is arranged a lighting element (15). Each main lighting zone is assigned a beam deflection device (14) which is designed in order to deflect the radiation of the first lighting element of the first part lighting zone, into a direction other than that from the lighting element of the second part lighting zone. An independent claim is included for a pixel array with a lighting device.
