Graphic data are put onto the surface to be modelled with a printer using a computer and associated peripherals. Data from the computer are transmitted to a row of actuators which move over the surface to be shaped and thereby transmit the signals contained within them to the background which can then be customized as wished. The actuators are designed as spray nozzles, which can be supplied individually or centrally. They can be controlled pneumatically or using elecromagnets or piezo elements. Typically they are located within a treatment machine which travels from a start point (1) via pre-programmed travel stretches (4) and starts to print when it has reached a printing position (5).
