The drive has a looping unit (4), an actuating tensioning pulley (2) and a driven tensioning pulley, where one of the tensioning pulleys is designed non-circularly. A looping angle e.g. 180, 120, 90 and 72 degrees and contact length of the looping unit are adjusted at the non-circular designed tensioning pulleys in such a manner that the angle and length are nearly constant in each rotation position of the tensioning pulleys.
