Flag arrangement (10) has an extension arm (12) with a flag (14) and ultra-violet light source (26) powered by solar generator (28)with energy storage. Light source, solar generator and energy storage are situated on or in the extension arm and are self-sufficient, that is independent from the mains electricity grid. The flag is printed (24) with color pigments which glow when the ultra-violet light is shone onto it. The light source is embodied as a gas-filled tube and is arranged along the length of the arm. The interior of the arm has at least one hole from which the light can shine on the side with the flag.
