The motor has a frequency converter (4) that is radially arranged on a motor (2). A side of a housing (22) of the frequency converter facing the motor is U-shapely designed. The side of the housing of the frequency converter has different high cooling fins (18, 42, 44), and a housing of the motor is ribbed until a region facing the frequency converter. The U-shaped housing of the frequency converter is closable by a cover (26).
