An electrically conductive material comprises functional sugars and metallic particles that form a new material of definite electrical conductance or resistance. Preferably the functional sugar is polyaminoglucose, oligoaminoglucose or monoaminoglucose : Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) A production process for the above; (B) Amethod of concentrating and orienting the metal particles in an electrical and/or magnetic field; and (C) A method of drying or reducing the sugar component by laser processing.
