The method involves dissolving or dispersing a polymer material and a colorant together with an additive in a liquid medium. A solution or the dispersion (16) is extensively applied on a surface in the form of isolated droplets that are produced by a rotary silk-screen printing process. A component e.g. nozzle body (24), contained in the solution or the dispersion is hardened by partial evaporation of the liquid medium, and subsequently removed from the surface, where the evaporation takes places under supply of heat energy. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a system for manufacturing a toner powder, comprising a storage container (2) a toner powder comprising toner particles.
