The spectacles comprise ear pieces (2) hinge-mounted on the front (1) and consisting of two struts at the front end. One (5) of the struts is free and by its free end slides on an abutment (10) located on the front. The other struts (3,4) are mounted on a hinge point (8) on the front. The abutment and the hinge point are arranged relative to each other so that a spring tension constantly exists between the struts. The abutment is formed so that when folding in the ear piece a spring force, which assists the folding in, is exerted on the ear piece.
