A liquid molding material is filled and hardened within the bearing adapter (17) of a belt drive carrier (13) to fix each pulley (8,10) to the adapter in a direction transverse to the axis of rotation of the pulley. The screw shaft (2) and drive shaft (9) of the pulleys are individually supported on bearings (14,15) in the bearing adapter. An independent claim is also included for an electromagnetic steering assist.
