The drive has a drive shaft (3) transferred by a drive motor (2), and a wiper arm (6) oscillating on a circular path section. The drive shaft is connected with the wiper arm via a swash plate (7) and a mechanical transmission unit in such a manner that a rotary motion of the drive shaft is transformed into an oscillating movement of the wiper arm. The swash plate is connected with a free end (4) of the drive shaft and with a wiper retainer unit (16), where the free end of the drive shaft is angled.
