The unit has a rectangular housing (2) and light emitting diodes (4) that are arranged in the form of beemer logos, where the diodes serve as an illuminant for the unit. The housing is arranged in a central area of a rear window of a motor vehicle and forms a brake light. The unit is formed in the form of signature, figure, pictogram and/or logos, where the diodes with less intensity are arranged in an outer ring. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an integrated tail light unit with a signaling unit (2) a motor vehicle with an integrated tail light unit.
