The arrangement has a unit e.g. belt (7) with a surface that faces the toner, where a cross section of a structure of the surface has a form of a printing screen (6) that is formed from gutters (8) and slots (9). Dimensions of the gutters and the slots lie in a micrometer range or sub-micrometer range and are smaller than radii of a toner particle (1) of the toner, such that the toner particle covers the gutters and the slots of the surface of the belt.
