Device (1) has a separate through-flowable hot air channel (40) as well as a separate through-flowable cold air channel (50). The hot air channel is placed outside the base housing (2) and is formed as a U-shaped hollow body with two external U-shanks as well as a base U-shank. The base housing encompasses distributor housing at the air outlet area (10) whereby the hot air channel has inlet openings for hot air at both external U-shanks. The hot air channel has a hot air outlet opening at the base U-shank whereby hot air outlet opening is arranged below the defrost outlet (32) congruently with openings (49) in the adjoining wall of the distributor housing. The inlet opening (51) of the cold air channel is arranged in the air outlet area above the temperature cover (15) directly near evaporator (8) and the outlet (52) of the separate cold air channel is arranged below the dashboard outlet (34).
