The limiter has a hydraulic unit (29) linearly displaced with a defined force to increase energy absorption capacity of a child seat belt (20) during collision of a car. The belt is guided into a loop over the hydraulic unit. The hydraulic unit has a pipe (1) and an integrated unit comprising a pressure adjusting piston and a pressure adjusting valve that is integrated in an outlet opening. The valve has a spring that is adjusted to a preset body weight. A roller (18) is attached at an end of the hydraulic unit, where the belt loop rolls over the roller. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a hydraulic unit for a force limiter (2) a pressure adjusting piston for a hydraulic unit of a force limiter.
