The method involves fluid-tightly fixing a coating film of an anti corrosive coating in a device for determining an ion permeability, where the device has anode and cathode chambers filled with electrolyte solution. A measuring voltage is supplied to electrodes of the anode and cathode chambers and a current flow is measured. The ion permeability is calculated from the current flow per surface unit of the film and a Faraday constant.
