The arrangement has a transition (Y-Y) between opposing ends of an input monomode fiber (11) and a stage index fiber (12) so that the ends (111,121) of both optical fibers are arranged at an angle of between 6 and 20 degrees to each other and/or the fiber axes (X-X) are nonconcentric with respect to each other in the fiber coupling region.
