The method involves supplying preliminary product-web (34) in arbitrary width, and cutting the web into strips (44) of equal width by a cutting device (14), where the web runs in a horizontal plane. The individual strips are deflected and merged in a composite material-disk strand (12). The strips are aligned on top of each other in horizontal and vertical manner and thus the strips are stuck together. An independent claim is also included for a device for continuously producing a composite material.
