The unit has a housing (1) forming an air suction channel (2). A control cap (3) is arranged in the housing and is pivoted in the channel over an operating device. An exhaust gas rear control valve (9) is arranged in the channel and an outlet of an exhaust gas cooler (11) arranged in the control valve is controlled in the channel. The control valve is movable over another device (14). The housing is provided with a housing part (24) of the cooler as a single unit, in which the outlet of the cooler is designed such that the housing operates the device (14) as the housing part.
