The method involves hardening a particle with a binding material under pressure and heat in a pressing distance (3) between pressed bands. The pressed bands are supported by roll bars that rotate between a supporting structure and the pressed bands. The heat needed for hardening the binding material is transferred from the pressed bands into a pressed material. The pressure bands are cooled over areas of the supporting structure, which laterally run in a process flow direction (4) of the pressed material.
