The cover (1) has fastening sections (17a-17c, 18a, 19c, 19d) for fastening a seat cover in a lower side of a seat portion and/or a rear side of a backrest. The sections are connected with each other by a fastener (27) at its ends in a seat (6) in a mounted condition. The sections are arranged to each other such that the sections are provided at boundary lines of the seat, where the sections are made of fibrous web or light shield foil. An overall length (L) of the sections is measured such that free ends (21) of the sections in the condition cover the sections in a sufficient length. An independent claim is also included for a seat that is provided with a cover.
