The method involves utilizing one or more pattern segment templates, where the templates have openings (3), in which one or more cobble- and tile stones are used. Intermediate sides are completed and closed with help of the templates, and the templates are composed of elastic material e.g. plastic or rubber mat. An independent claim is also included for a pattern segment template for laying cobble- and tile stone in a shape pattern arrangement.
