The plate has a strung-out shank part (1) whose length is larger than the breadth. A heading section (2) extends perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. A curvature of the heading section is adapted to the form of a humeral head. The region of the heading section overlapping the shank part in the dorsal direction is larger than the region of the heading section overlapping the shank part in the ventral direction. An independent claim is also included for a bone screw in which the symmetrical planes are parallel.
