Electro-mechanical power split transmission for e.g. rail vehicle, has mechanical and electrical transmission parts, and control unit controlling parameter characterizing power consumption and demand of electrical machines
The transmission has mechanical and electrical transmission parts (2, 3), where the mechanical part has a planetary differential gear (4) with two planetary stages that are arranged coaxial to one another. A shaft is formed from a unit of one of the stages, and another shaft is formed from both the stages. The electrical part has electrical machines (16, 17) operated as generator and motor and energetically coupled with one another by a voltage intermediate circuit. A control unit (20) is provided for controlling a parameter characterizing power consumption and demand of the machines.
