The method involves measuring the relevant wavelength coverage of irradiation in a circadian, and then using the measured values and the determined visually effective radiation of a radiation source as first correction values. The age, condition and turbidity of the eyes of a subject are then considered as second correction values. The first and second correction values are used to determine the circadian for effective irradiation of the radiation source.
