The train has an internal combustion engine (2) producing a driving torque on a drive axle. An input shaft (10a) of a vehicle transmission device (10) is coupled with an output shaft of the engine using a coupling. An output shaft (10b) of the device (10) acts on the axle by a differential transmission. A two-stage transmission device (12) is provided for coupling the machine between the output of the device (10) and the differential transmission. The device (12) is formed such that it automatically switches between transmission stages based on a drive end rotational direction.
